We also hold intro classes for many of the matches and shooting events so that shooters new to that venue can become familiar with them prior to a match or event. Special Events and Shoots:
The following shooting activities are held either in the classroom or the shooting bay and therefore may interfere with normal shooting activities taking place on the shooting range.

IDPA (COMING SOON)
This one of the most enjoyable shooting events you will participate in.  IDPA shooting events are shot with your defensive pistol and are fun for the whole family.  It is a great way to improve your safety and skills when using your defensive shooting pistol.  Scenarios are based on real life situation as well as some that are just plain fun to shoot.  

3 Gun (COMING SOON)
Are you ready to put all your skills to the test?  Then participate in 3 Gun at Mixon's Emporium.  If you feel you are well skilled in the handling and accuracy of your pistol, rifle and shotgun then 3 Gun is for you!   Check our calendar for 3 Gun intro classes if you would like to get your feet wet in this exciting sport.

Concealed Weapons Classes (We are doing 20 people almost every other Friday with the shooting on Saturday.  We also do the full 8 hour class on Sunday.)
Don’t have your Concealed Carry License yet or just want to brush up on the laws and skills?  Participate in classes at Mixon's Emporium and you will enjoy learning life saving techniques. Class room is held almost every night at the store and you will shoot on the following Saturday or Sunday.  You need to register for this class and you can call to find the next opening.

First Shots
Never fired a gun before or know someone who wants to give it a try?  First Shots is the perfect event to introduce people to the shooting sports.  During these free events participants will learn how to safely shoot a handgun, rifle and shotgun.  These events are great fun for the whole family and a great start to enjoying the shooting sports.

Manufacturer Product Demo Days
Sometimes manufacturers are so excited about their products they will let you try them for FREE!  On demo days Manufacturer’s reps are on hand to tell you all the good news about their products and why they feel they are the best.  You can get hands on experience with the products so you can make the decission on what to buy next.  Demo days information will be listed here as their schedules become firm.
